The song is a mix of Reggaeton and pop came out in 2017 by singer from Puerto Rico Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. It was the top-streamed song at the time within six months. Billboard's Top 100 included four mostly Spanish songs in 2016, and two songs in 2015. In 2017, during the peak of the popularity of Despacito 19, 19 songs mostly in Spanish made it to the Billboard Top 100. In 2020, the number will increase to 41 songs that fall into this category. Justin Bieber remixed Despacito 2017 with a version in two languages. Then, various artists collaborated with Reggaeton stars such as Drake and Bad Bunny with MIA (2018), Madonna and Maluma and Medellin 2019. A few performers of reggaeton lamented the trend towards popular music by 2020. But a newly formed group called Rauw Alejandro was determined to keep the development and growth of reggaeton. He often incorporated elements from electronic dance music, as well as different forms.
