Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress, who primarily works in Hindi films. 3 Filmfare Awards have been given to her, which makes her among India's most popular and well-paid actors. Time Magazine named Padukone one of the top 100 individuals with influence around the world in 2018. They also gave her an award called the TIME100 Impact Award 2022. Padukone is the daughter of badminton star Prakash Padukone. She was raised in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. When she was in her teens Padukone played badminton in championships, including national competitions. But, she resigned from her career in the sport to pursue a new one as a fashion designer. Soon, she began getting offers to appear in films. Her first part as an actor was in the film Aishwarya, the Kannada lead character. Padukone later played the dual character as Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) which was her first Bollywood release. The film was awarded Padukone an award called the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut.
